Legal

Terms of Service

DRAFT v0.1 · last updated 18 October 2026

These terms govern your use of ShipCheck (runshipcheck.com), operated by [Business legal name, ABN], [address] ("we", "us"). By using ShipCheck you agree to them.

1. The service

ShipCheck scans publicly reachable websites for common security, findability and reliability problems and reports the results. Scans are automated and may contain false positives or miss problems. ShipCheck is not a penetration test, security audit or guarantee that a site is secure.

2. Who may scan what

  • You may only scan websites you own or are authorised to test. See the Scan Consent page.
  • Active checks (such as the Supabase anonymous-read probe) run only after you verify ownership. You confirm the verified site is yours or that you have written permission from its owner.
  • You must not use ShipCheck to harass others, to find vulnerabilities in sites you don't control, or to contact third parties about their sites' findings.

3. Accounts

You sign in with a magic link sent to your email. You're responsible for keeping access to your inbox secure and for activity under your account.

4. Plans, billing and cancellation

  • Paid plans (Solo US$12/month, Builder US$29/month) are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time in the billing portal; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email.
  • Refunds: see the Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded.

5. Acceptable use

No reverse engineering, overloading, reselling without permission, or attempts to bypass rate limits, ownership verification or plan limits.

6. Data

How we handle personal information and scan data is described in the Privacy Policy. We store only redacted previews and fingerprints of any secrets we detect, and only row counts from Supabase probes, never row contents.

7. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShipCheck is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim (or, where the Australian Consumer Law applies, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupply). We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss caused by security incidents on your site.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to you. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [New South Wales, Australia].
